The SMITOM Nord Seine-et-Marne is inviting its newly appointed titular and substitute delegates to a meeting and exchange session on the afternoon of Monday, September 10. This event aims to familiarize elected officials and the union's administrative and technical teams with SMITOM's operations, missions, and facilities.
Participants will have the opportunity to visit the union's main infrastructures, including the treatment center and the Monthyon waste disposal center. This visit will provide a better understanding of the role and functioning of the various facilities, as well as SMITOM's short and long-term projects.
Department heads will present their daily tasks and how they support elected officials in their waste management and prevention projects. Animation teams will also detail the awareness-raising actions offered to residents, such as visits to the treatment center, escape games, or interventions in schools.
The waste prevention policy, focusing on source reduction like composting, will be central to the discussions. The union's administration will also outline the resources available to delegates for organizing and monitoring union bodies, including meeting preparation and relevant contacts.
