Since September 2026, the Communauté d'Agglomération du Pays de Meaux, in partnership with SMITOM and Citeo, has been rolling out a waste sorting awareness campaign in the region's collective housing.

More than 15,000 homes will be supported by eco-animators. Their mission will be to remind residents of proper sorting practices and answer their questions about waste management.
This initiative also relies on on-site actions targeting residences, local outreach activities, and the involvement of stakeholders such as landlords, managing agents, caretakers, and associations.
To help residents sort better, the Montri application is available. It allows users to identify appropriate sorting instructions, locate collection points, and find out about collection days.
