The Communauté d'Agglomération du Pays de Meaux (CAPM) is launching an experiment in eco-responsible pricing for household waste in Quincy-Voisins, aiming to reduce costs and encourage sorting.

In 2025, each inhabitant of the Agglomeration Community produced an average of 232 kg of household waste. The collection and treatment of this waste represent a significant cost for the community, particularly with taxes and contributions related to its processing. Reducing our waste and improving sorting therefore helps control these costs. It is in this context that the CAPM is experimenting with eco-responsible pricing (TECO).
From October 23rd to November 14th, investigators mandated by the CAPM will visit every household in the municipality to update information, determine the appropriate bin size for each, and answer questions about TECO.
TECO applies only to grey bins for household waste. Yellow or blue bins for sorting packaging and paper are not affected. Pricing will depend on the volume of the grey bin presented for collection and the number of pickups, not its fill level. The goal is to adapt bin size to needs and limit unnecessary pickups.
Starting in November, 21 voluntary drop-off points for biodegradable waste will be progressively installed in the municipality to reduce the amount of residual household waste.
Information sessions will also be held at the town hall, from 9 AM to 12 PM, with local elected officials and a CAPM representative responsible for waste management.
