A citizen operation collected nearly 500 kg of waste at Torcy's agricultural park, a future promenade site, thanks to the mobilization of the municipality and residents.

Despite unfavorable weather, the mobilization did not wane. On Wednesday, October 7, Mayor Guillaume Le Lay-Felzine, accompanied by municipal council members, children from the children's council, and leisure centers, visited the agricultural park for a major citizen operation. The objective was to clean up this site, which will soon become a preferred walking area for Torcy residents.
Equipped with gloves, tongs, and bags provided by the company Sogea, a partner in this initiative, participants scoured the site with motivation and enthusiasm. Thanks to this collective effort, nearly 500 kg of waste were collected, including paper, bottles, cans, tires, and various bulky items. The afternoon concluded with a snack offered by Sogea, and the children left with a bag containing a notebook, a water bottle, and a stress ball.
Beyond the immediate impact on cleanliness and the preservation of our living environment, this operation is coupled with a solidarity initiative: the collected waste will be valued and converted into euros by Sogea. This financial contribution will directly fund a project led by the commune's leisure centers. A great collective success for our environment!
