Throughout November, the City of Aubervilliers and its partners are organizing awareness and prevention programs on violence against women, with a highlight on November 30th.

The City of Aubervilliers is mobilizing in November against violence against women through a series of events. The Maisons pour tous (Community Centers) will display embroideries at the Pôle Santé des femmes (Women's Health Center) from November 2nd to 30th, with a special event on Friday, November 27th at 5:30 PM. The d'Alembert high school will present the exhibition 'Viol, un autre regard' (Rape, another perspective) from November 16th to 20th, followed by a meeting on Tuesday, November 17th at 2 PM, and then at Henri-Wallon high school from November 23rd to 27th.
The cinema Le Studio will offer a film series on violence against women. Two free screenings are particularly scheduled: on Tuesday, November 17th at 7:30 PM with 'Si tu penses bien' by Géraldine Nakache, in the presence of Sarah Demoor, and on Thursday, November 26th at 7:30 PM with 'L’Affaire Marie-Claire' by Yvo Muller and Lauriane Escaffre, followed by a debate. The series also includes 'Mémoires de filles' by Judith Godrèche, 'Quelques mots d’amour' by Rudi Rosenberg, and 'Princes et Princesses' by Michel Ocelot.
A race 'Venez piétiner les violences sexistes et sexuelles !' (Come trample sexist and sexual violence!) is organized on Thursday, November 19th at 7 PM with Sine Qua Non, starting from Auber Médiation, 16 rue Ferragus. Self-defense workshops exclusively for women will be held on November 9th (MPT Henri-Roser), November 18th (Maison de la jeunesse Jules-Vallès), November 27th (MPT Mahsa-Amini), and December 16th (MPT Berty-Albrecht). On Wednesday, November 25th at 7 PM, a workshop 'Changer les règles du jeu' (Change the rules of the game) will take place at 22 rue Bernard-et-Mazoyer.
Women's Rights and Health information points will be available at the market (25 rue Ferragus) on Tuesday, November 17th from 9 AM to 1 PM, and at the Restaurants du cœur (41 boulevard Anatole-France) on Thursday, November 26th from 9 AM to 11:30 AM.
The highlight of the mobilization, the 5th Assises contre les violences faites aux femmes, will take place on Monday, November 30th from 8:30 AM to 5 PM at the Campus Condorcet, Centre des colloques, Place du Front Populaire. The theme will be 'When intersecting discriminations reinforce violence'. The day will be moderated by Hannane Mouhim-Escaffre. Institutional speeches will be given in the presence of Sofienne Karroumi, Mayor of Aubervilliers, and deputies Céline THIEBAULT-MARTINEZ and Gabrielle CATHALA. Round tables will address the intersectionality of discrimination, access to rights and care, and thematic workshops will focus on women with disabilities, migrant women, women in precarious situations, and women of different ages.
