After a season in the Top 12, the elite of the French championship, TAC gymnastics sees its development project strengthened by the opening of a sports-studies class at René-Descartes College. This initiative, driven by the Tremblay club, aims to enable college students to balance their sporting passion with their academic success.
Brian Decorde, the club's technical director, explains that this program will allow young athletes registered in the Avenir and Espoir categories, aged 10 to 15, to benefit from adjusted schedules. These gymnasts, who already train about fifteen hours a week, will gain an additional four hours of training thanks to the adaptation of their school timetable.
« Some classes end earlier, allowing training sessions to start sooner. Students can then return home at reasonable hours, achieving a better balance between their sports practice and family life », specifies Brian Decorde. Six students from 6th to 3rd grade, registered with TAC, are joining this new educational offering, the first of its kind at Descartes College.
This unprecedented collaboration enhances the college's appeal, aiming to allow its students to pursue high-level sports without compromising their academic journey.
