The Board of Directors of Sorbonne Paris Nord University has unanimously voted to denounce the decree on differentiated fees, deeming it unequal and detrimental to non-EU students.

The Board of Directors of Sorbonne Paris Nord University reaffirms its commitment to the public service of higher education and its accessibility to all, regardless of nationality. The university considers that the decree on differentiated fees breaks with the principle of equal treatment for students pursuing the same course of study.
According to the Board, these students, who benefit from the same services and receive the same national diploma, will be subject to different tuition fees. The university believes this measure is unequal, exacerbates the precariousness of non-EU students, and degrades their study and living conditions.
The Board of Directors highlights the contribution of non-EU students to the richness of the university and of France. Consequently, it calls for the abrogation of the decree.
