As part of October Pink, the sports club Gym Forme & Force (GFF) in La Courneuve held an all-female fitness session on October 4th, fostering discussions about breast cancer.

The event, initially unplanned, saw members like Nyssia, Arlette, and Awa spontaneously share their experiences with breast cancer. These participants gathered at the El-Ouafi gymnasium for a sports afternoon that included a warm-up, cardio and strength exercises, Zumba, and personal testimonies.
Coach Fatiha Berkane highlighted the emotion of seeing these women, often silently affected by the disease, share their stories. Nyssia recounted the initial symptoms that appeared in late 2024, despite reassuring initial examinations, leading to a diagnosis of aggressive stage 4 cancer in April 2025.
Currently in remission, Nyssia encouraged the forty participants to seek medical advice at the slightest anomaly. Awa, a new member, shared her journey after ten months of diagnostic delay for colon cancer, emphasizing the importance of trusting one's body. Arlette, meanwhile, expressed her resilience after being diagnosed with breast cancer without apparent symptoms.
Fatiha Berkane reminded attendees that sports benefit not only the body but also the mind and spirit, highlighting the importance of kindness within the club.
