A unique public inquiry is ongoing until October 22nd regarding an application for geothermal site research and mining permits filed by the Fontenay-sous-Bois Urban Heating Authority.

The Urban Heating Authority (RCU) of Fontenay-sous-Bois has submitted an application for a geothermal site research permit. This application covers the municipalities of Fontenay-sous-Bois, Le Perreux-sur-Marne, Montreuil, Rosny-sous-Bois, and Neuilly-Plaisance. An environmental permit for mining operations for a Dogger geothermal doublet is also being sought in the municipality of Fontenay-sous-Bois.
This project is subject to a unique public inquiry taking place from Monday, September 21, to Thursday, October 22.
A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 6, at 7:30 PM at the Maison du citoyen, located at 16 rue du Révérend Père Lucien Aubry in Fontenay-sous-Bois.
The inquiry commissioner will also be available to the public to receive observations at the Town Hall of Montreuil (1, Place Jean Jaurès, 93100 Montreuil) on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 9 AM to 12 PM.
