Due to a strike, the Maurice Thorez nautical stadium, located at 21 rue du Colonel Raynal in Montreuil, will be closed to the public on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
This facility, which underwent renovation and modernization for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, offers several pools and installations. It includes a 50-meter pool, a 56m² toddler pool, five diving boards from 1 to 10 meters, a 90-meter slide with a splash pool, a 500m² solarium, and a 350m² esplanade.
The city's flagship facility is located near the Place de la Croix-de-Chavaux and its namesake metro station. It features a 50-meter swimming pool, which can be divided into two 25-meter sections with a movable partition. Its depth of 5.50 meters allows it to host activities for the local diving club. It also includes a 400m² learning pool, a paddling pool, a solarium, a 90-meter slide, a 10-meter diving platform, and a dedicated diving pit.
The Maurice Thorez nautical stadium also provides collective and individual changing rooms, storage facilities for sports associations (RSCM, diving, swimming, JAM plongée, canoeing-kayaking), a sports hall named Colette-Besson, an administrative office and storage for the CAM fencing section, as well as a weight training area and a meeting room.
The daily management of the Maurice Thorez nautical stadium and the Piscine des Murs à Pêches is handled by Est Ensemble.
