Recently, a new character, Brillo, has appeared in the public spaces of Cergy. With its yellow color reminiscent of recycling bins, this mascot spreads positive messages to encourage Cergy residents to adopt good cleanliness habits.
The awareness campaign will also be deployed on social media and buses to reach as many people as possible and encourage behavioral change. It is noted that a single cigarette butt can pollute up to 500 liters of water, and collected cigarette butts can be recycled into products like computer sleeves or insulation materials.
Through Brillo, the city emphasizes the importance of daily actions: disposing of waste in appropriate bins, not leaving cigarette butts on public streets, and respecting shared spaces. Everyone can contribute to preserving the living environment.
In parallel, dedicated bins for canine waste, equipped with disposal bags, have been installed in walking areas. These facilities facilitate the collection of dog waste and help keep public spaces clean and pleasant.
With Brillo and these new facilities, the city of Cergy continues its efforts towards urban cleanliness, an objective that also relies on the active participation of every citizen.
