For Octobre Rose, the city of Cergy is offering workshops and an information stand on breast cancer, open to all on Wednesday, October 21. A closing event is also scheduled for Thursday, October 22 at CY Cergy-Paris University.

To mark Octobre Rose, the month dedicated to breast cancer screening awareness, the city of Cergy is launching several initiatives. These events, which also highlight that breast cancer can affect men, are open to everyone.
Awareness workshops will be held on Wednesday, October 21, starting at 9:15 AM at Le Douze (12 allée des Petits pains). These interactive sessions will cover the importance of screening, the mammography process, its coverage, self-examination, and common misconceptions. Led by professionals, the workshops will be conducted in a fun and engaging manner, allowing participants to ask questions freely. Three sessions are scheduled: at 9:15 AM, 10:30 AM, and 2:00 PM.
An information stand will also be available in the hall of Le Douze on Wednesday, October 21, from 9 AM to 7 PM. Visitors can gather information, obtain documentation, and find useful contacts.
To conclude this campaign, CY Cergy-Paris University will host a closing event on its Chênes campus (33 boulevard du Port) on Thursday, October 22. A forum will feature numerous stands focusing on breast cancer screening, as well as mental health and solidarity. Various organizations, professionals, and associations will be present, organized into four sections: breast cancer screening and prevention, intimacy and affective life, self-esteem and inclusion, and solidarity.
These events are organized in partnership with the Ligue contre le cancer (League Against Cancer), the Centre régional de coordination des dépistages des cancers d’Île-de-France (Regional Coordination Center for Cancer Screening in Île-de-France), and CY Cergy-Paris University.
