In response to recent violent incidents outside the Saint-Witz high school, including an intentional fire and shots fired at law enforcement, the town hall strongly condemns these acts and calls for individual responsibility.

Dear Residents of Witz, dear families,
Another episode of violence occurred yesterday morning in front of the high school in Saint-Witz, despite dialogue efforts with students. An intentional fire notably caused the destruction of about forty shrubs. Shots were also reported again towards law enforcement officers.
These acts, committed on the sidelines of expressed demands, cannot be tolerated. They strengthen our resolve to end the unrest and guarantee everyone's safety. Rest assured that law enforcement, alongside pedagogical staff and the entire educational community, remain fully mobilized to preserve the right to education, enable the continuity of classes, and ensure the safety of students.
We call on everyone for calm and responsibility. Dialogue must remain the preferred path for expressing demands. Disagreements can and must be expressed peacefully, without violence, without vandalism, and with respect for students, staff, and law enforcement.
We commend the commitment and composure of all mobilized staff, as well as their determination to maintain a serene and secure school environment.
