On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the City of Thiais and its CCAS are offering several awareness and prevention events from November 24 to December 10.

From November 24 to 27, an educational exhibition titled 'Against Violence Against Women' will be held at the Town Hall. It will address various forms of sexist, domestic, and cyber violence, their mechanisms, and their consequences.
From November 25 to December 10, the media library will host a participatory mural project called 'Sexist Remarks, Our Voices Rise,' where visitors can anonymously share sexist comments they have heard.
On Wednesday, November 25, at 5 PM, the media library will screen short films followed by discussions on '24 Hours in the Life of 24 Women,' exploring their daily lives.
On Friday, November 27, at 7 PM, a meeting and book signing with Marie Gervais will take place at the media library, focusing on women and pop culture, and how it often perpetuates sexist stereotypes.
On the same day, Friday, November 27, at 7 PM, the theater company NAJE will present an interactive forum theater performance at the café-théâtre, encouraging the audience to reflect on and propose solutions for violence against women.
Finally, on Saturday, November 28, at 8:30 PM, the Théâtre Municipal René Panhard will host the play 'Comme on brûle encore,' which humorously explores absurd daily situations and highlights prejudices.
Ticket prices for the play are €19.10 for full price, €10.75 for reduced price, and €9.40 for youth card holders. Reservations can be made at billetterie.ville-thiais.fr.
Through these events, the City of Thiais reaffirms its commitment to the prevention and fight against all forms of violence against women.
