The Buc Comic Book Festival, a must-attend event for comic book enthusiasts, returns for its 33rd edition on October 17 and 18 at the Gymnase Simone Veil in Buc. For two days, attendees of all ages are invited to meet their favorite authors and have their albums signed in a friendly atmosphere.
This year, the festival is honored to host Nora Moretti, the creator of the poster and celebrated illustrator of the series Princesse Sara. The Italian author emphasizes the pleasure of sharing in her creative process: « Audrey [Alwett] writes the texts, I draw... The work is done in close collaboration. We discuss the story, we share ideas. » She also notes that she and her screenwriter sought « a style that was uniquely theirs: drawings for teenagers, not too manga, not too animated, not too realistic ».
To bring culture closer to residents, the festival extends beyond its main venue before the official opening weekend. In partnership with the Agglomeration, several free meetings and signing sessions are offered in the network's media libraries. Featured authors include Erroc (Les Profs) on Wednesday, October 14 at 3 PM at the Bibliothèque Victor Hugo in Chesnay-Rocquencourt; Marc Bourgne (Michel Vaillant) on Wednesday, October 14 at 3 PM at the Médiathèque de La Tremblaye in Bois d’Arcy; Orpheelin (Les Légendaires - Les Chroniques de Darkhell) on Friday, October 16 at 5 PM at the Bibliothèque in Viroflay; Jean Pleyers (Jhen) on Friday, October 16 at 5:30 PM at the Médiathèque in Jouy-en-Josas; and Nora Moretti (Princesse Sara) on Friday, October 16 at 5:30 PM at the Médiathèque in La Celle Saint-Cloud.
In line with their shared commitment to sustainable development, Versailles Grand Parc and B.D. Buc are once again collaborating to publish the territory's school agenda. For the 2026 edition, author Armelle Modéré illustrated the pages on the essential theme of water preservation, working with students. The next edition will be enhanced by Florent Sacré.
The festival will take place on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, from 10 AM to 6 PM, at the Gymnase Simone Veil in Buc.
