For individuals regularly assisting an elderly relative, a child, or an adult who is ill or disabled, the Department of Yvelines is offering an event dedicated to their well-being. Pause Nature Aidants will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 2 PM to 6 PM, at the Parc départemental du Peuple de l’herbe in Carrières-sous-Poissy. Admission is free and open to all, with no prior registration required.
This afternoon of relaxation, nature, and discovery aims to provide caregivers with a restorative break in an exceptional setting. The Parc du Peuple de l’herbe, a Sensitive Natural Area, will host accessible and relaxing activities, conducive to reconnecting with nature and preserving biodiversity.
Participants will also have the opportunity to meet professionals from the Department and its partners, including the Agence AutonomY, to learn about existing aid and support systems. The goal is to offer a moment of friendly exchange and information sharing, a true natural haven to slow down and release tension.
Several activities are planned, including exploration walks led by naturalist and ornithologist David Rosane, gentle walks with sophro-relaxation techniques with Virginie Boll from the association ActionSophro, and nature outings guided by the Office Pour les Insectes et leur Environnement (OPIE) to discover the world of insects. In case of rain, the Maison des insectes will welcome participants.
The event also serves as an opportunity to find support. Partners such as the Agence AutonomY, the Mon Espace Autonomie platform, and the association Centr’aider will be present to provide information on rights, aid, listening services, advice, respite, and psychological support.
