The copper network, which today enables landline telephone and ADSL, will gradually disappear throughout the territory. The migration to fiber is mandatory before January 31, 2027. After this date, non-connected residents will see their telephone and internet services interrupted.
To support this transition, the State is offering exceptional aid for individuals and Very Small Enterprises (VSEs) that need to carry out work on their property (blocked conduit, missing inspection chamber, impossible passage, etc.). Applications must be submitted online to the Agence de services et de paiement (PUMA – Aid for fiber optic connection – Support request). The deadline for individuals is January 31, 2027, and for VSEs, June 30, 2027.
In case of connection difficulties after the operator's visit, residents can receive support from Yvelines Fibre. A dedicated team is available to assist them. Residents can contact their town hall or submit a request directly on the Yvelines Fibre website, under the 'Contact Us' section.
Fiber optics provide a more reliable and faster connection, better daily user comfort, and often equivalent or cheaper subscription offers than ADSL. It also allows for subscribing to a landline-only phone offer, without internet.
Departmental telecare systems can be adapted to fiber. Concerned users can contact VITARIS at 01 30 56 43 91 to organize the transition.
It is advisable not to wait until the last minute for connection, as it may require procedures and delays. Anticipating now will avoid any telephone or internet interruption. Remember to contact your telecom operator to subscribe to a fiber offer: Bouygues at 3106, Free at 1044, Orange at 3900, and SFR at 1099.
