Léna Werno, a doctor of sociology, is now a PhD ambassador in Île-de-France and a research engineer at EDF. Her thesis, co-directed by Laurent Willemez and Olivier Guillaume at PRINTEMPS, focused on "Mechanisms for transforming organizations: negotiating work evolution in a nuclear company." Specializing in nuclear safety management and complexity management in high-risk organizations, she completed her doctorate through a CIFRE grant with EDF's R&D. She also teaches at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and gives lectures on doctoral studies.
As an ambassador, Léna Werno aims to highlight the PhD as a means to acquire and leverage key skills for innovation, identify and support rare profiles, and promote her career as a researcher in a cutting-edge industrial sector.
