The City of Saint-Cyr-l’École is participating in the Mental Health Awareness Week (SISM), taking place from October 5th to 18th, 2026. During this period, various events and discussion forums will be offered to inform the public, promote understanding of mental health issues, and combat prejudice.
The program begins on Monday, October 5th, with an exhibition by the group Art & Culture CATTG in the town hall lobby at 6 PM, followed by a film-debate titled “ça va bien se passer” (It will be alright) at the Cinéma les Yeux d’Elsa.
On Wednesdays, October 7th and 14th, a music creation workshop with Commun Accord and artist Vîrus will be held at Case Ô Arts starting at 2 PM.
On Thursday, October 8th, the bookstore JMS Fontenay le Fleury will host a discussion at 11 AM on the theme “Living libraries to break down prejudice?”, while a fresco workshop will take place at the commun café at 1:30 PM.
On Friday, October 9th, at 3 PM, the Commun café will feature a presentation on peer support professions.
On Monday, October 12th, a reception will be held at the Commun café from 9:30 AM to 1 PM.
Finally, on Thursday, October 15th, Edwige, a peer mental health mediator, will share her testimony “Traversed to the land of madness” at the Commun Café at 10 AM. On Friday, October 16th, a quiz on “mental health-arts” will be led by Manu at the Commun Café at 2:30 PM.
