L'Onde Théâtre Centre d’Art, already a venue dedicated to various artistic disciplines such as theater, dance, circus, and music, will introduce a new cultural dimension to Vélizy's residents. The municipality has chosen to integrate contemporary art into its repertoire by welcoming Saïd El Habibi, a passionate gallerist.
Starting in November, the Micro-Onde space will feature a collection of bold works, including sculptures, paintings, and furniture, carefully selected by Saïd El Habibi, who is known for his talent in discovering emerging artists.
After opening his first gallery in the Marais district of Paris, Saïd El Habibi has chosen Vélizy-Villacoublay for his second location, drawn by the town's dynamism. This initiative aims to enrich the local cultural scene and allow residents to discover unique artworks close to home.
Throughout the year, the gallery will host events aligned with L'Onde's cultural programming, as well as openings, private events, and workshops with artists. It will be accessible during the art center's regular opening hours.
“"With my associate, Mehdi El Mouaddin, we like to exhibit artists who address the human being in its entirety through free techniques such as abstract, acrylic, oil painting… We exhibit both emerging and established artists from all over the world."
The inauguration of this new gallery is scheduled for Saturday, November 7th at 4:30 PM, offering an initial opportunity to explore its artistic offerings.
