Chilly-Mazarin celebrated its 40th anniversary of twinning with Carlet (Spain) and Diéma (Mali) during a day dedicated to music, dance, and cultural exchange.

The day began with the opening of the Amis des Arts exhibition, accompanied by a concert from the conservatory's guitar students. The morning also featured speeches from Mayor Rafika Rezgui, honorary mayor Gérard Funès, and Claudie Pique, president of the Twinning Committee.
In the afternoon, the conservatory hosted African musicians and flamenco dancers from the Zambra company. The streets of Vieux Chilly then came alive with the parade of the Agrupación Musical Artística de Carlet, followed by a concert in the Hôtel-de-Ville park and a convivial gathering to conclude the festivities.
In the presence of numerous elected officials, including Myrna Naoum-Ghazieff, deputy mayor for Culture, and Uriel Demirdjian, municipal councilor for Twinning and Youth, this anniversary strengthened the bonds of friendship forged over four decades between the three cities.
The City expressed its gratitude to the Twinning Committee and all partners involved in the day's events and week of activities, including the Amis des Arts, the conservatory, the François-Truffaut cinema, and all participants. Special thanks were given to the Agrupación Musical Artística de Carlet for their magnificent performance.
