Conceived a year and a half ago, this ambitious project saw its team gradually form. The journey began on Saturday, August 1, 2026. They are currently traveling through France, northern Italy, Slovenia, the Croatian coast, Montenegro, and Albania, with an expected arrival in Greece by the end of November.
The winter months will be dedicated to woofing, a form of volunteering on organic farms in exchange for food and lodging. In early March, they will begin their journey north, crossing Eastern Europe (Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, the Baltic states), and plan to pass through Finland, Sweden, and Denmark before returning to France around July 2027.
Cycling at a pace of 50 to 55 km per day, five days a week, the trip prioritizes meeting locals and discovering landscapes over athletic performance. Cycling is their chosen mode of transport for its efficiency and ecological benefits.
For accommodation, they will alternate between bivouacking in tents and staying with locals, notably through the Warmshowers network, which connects cyclists for free overnight stays.
