The association "Les Amis de Stéphane", chaired by Nicole Pinson, is launching a series of solidarity initiatives in Saint-Michel-sur-Orge. These events aim to raise funds for rare disease research, thereby supporting the Telethon. All profits from event registrations will be donated to AFM Telethon.
A special Telethon information desk will be held at the EMC 1 theatre & 3 cinemas starting November 28. The program includes mulled wine and homemade soup (1.50€) offered by the association, followed by a tribute concert to Jacques Brel at the Centre Culturel Baschet at 8:30 PM. This show, performed by Cyril Hutteau and Alain Parès, is a celebration of the Belgian singer's work.
On December 2, a testimonial meeting will take place at the senior residence Les Jardins d’Arcadie. Nicole Pinson, the association's president, will share her experience regarding her son's illness and the progress of research thanks to Telethon. On December 4, also at Les Jardins d’Arcadie, a play titled "La valse des vallées" will be performed at a 'hat collection' price.
The weekend of December 5 and 6 will feature the association's presence at the Christmas Market. A stall will offer a fishing game (1€), a small flea market, sales of items and plush toys, as well as "all-win envelopes" (2.50€). On Saturday, a cake sale is also planned in front of the Blaise Pascal school at 4:30 PM, in collaboration with the residents of Les Jardins d’Arcadie.
Saint-Michel-sur-Orge has been actively participating in the Telethon for over 30 years. The commitment of the association "Les Amis de Stéphane" and numerous volunteers allows for the collection of essential funds for research, patients, and their families.
