The project "Sous le vent", part of the 2026 edition of the Vis ta différence program, has brought together thirteen young people from the IME La Nichée, Clap, and CACM for a human, sporting, and cultural adventure focused on discovering sailing and the Route du Rhum. Supported by numerous partners, this initiative aims to foster inclusion, encounters, and respect for differences, while developing the participants' autonomy and introducing them to a new sport.
In the spring, the participants benefited from a sailing course led by US Créteil Voile, which included environmental protection awareness and waste collection activities conducted with the Surfrider Foundation Europe. They also met professional skipper Paul Meilhat and learned about the actions of Créteil Jumelages.
From October 20th to 22nd, the young people stayed in Saint-Malo to explore the Route du Rhum village, meet skipper Thibault Vochel, and engage in cultural activities related to the Breton coast. A sea sailing session completed this collective experience. The project also opened new horizons through correspondence with young people from Les Abymes, a Guadeloupean town twinned with Créteil.
On Sunday, November 1st, the CSC Madeleine Rebérioux will host the broadcast of the Route du Rhum start, bringing together young people, families, partners, and residents around this major nautical event. The project will continue in December at the Cinémas du Palais with the screening of a documentary film retracing this adventure, followed by a public discussion and an Antillean buffet with a dietitian.
