Finally, the third priority addresses drug trafficking and consumption, a significant national issue.
In managing these challenges, the police station maintains regular exchanges with the Mayor and his services. These discussions help guide police action based on residents' concerns and communicate the results achieved. Joint awareness campaigns, conducted with local associations, specifically target the elderly and younger generations, covering topics such as noise pollution, incivilities, and vigilance against fraud.
Jean Soulier emphasizes the importance of a preventive approach to daily incivilities, reiterating laws and civic duty, with repression intervening only as a last resort or for the most serious cases. Since the start of the academic year, interventions in schools have been organized on topics such as narcotics, school bullying, and road safety, along with awareness-raising actions for the elderly regarding theft.
The commissioner stresses that trust and communication between the police station and residents are essential to combat all forms of insecurity in Sèvres.
