The building, unused for years, will be dismantled using a large toothed grab. Misting systems will be installed to suppress dust and prevent its dispersion.
As committed during the public meeting on July 7, noise and air quality will be regularly monitored throughout the demolition via sensors on site. Results will be published weekly on the SEMAPA website starting from the second week of work.
Furthermore, a schedule indicating periods of increased noise over the next two weeks will be displayed on the construction site fence and updated every 15 days.
Following demolition, the site will be backfilled from November 16 to 20, 2026, and will remain fenced off.
