Inalco hosted the EUniWell Rectors' Assembly in Paris, a meeting highlighting the institution's role in the partnership focused on multilingualism and university well-being.

The 11th EUniWell Rectors' Assembly took place in Paris, hosted by Inalco. This event marks a significant step in the partnership established since 2023, where Inalco plays a leading role, particularly in steering the work module on multilingualism and multiculturalism.
Held in Paris for the first time, this assembly reviewed Inalco's contributions since joining the alliance in 2023 and explored opportunities for the entire university community. Inalco's expertise in languages and cultures has enriched collective reflection, especially within Arena 4 dedicated to culture, multilingualism, and well-being. This working group, led by Inalco, has resulted in the creation of common resources and the development of collaborative projects such as LiME, LANG-PACT, and LangCare, as well as the Erasmus+ LULaC project.
EUniWell has also opened new mobility prospects, enhanced training offerings, and strengthened cooperation among students, staff, and researchers. Short-term mobilities and the common online course catalog have facilitated learning and co-construction of programs. The shared conviction is that languages are essential vectors of well-being, inclusion, and mutual understanding, making linguistic and cultural diversity a pillar of EUniWell's mission.
The public session, titled "Multilingualism in a Multipolar World", explored the links between multilingualism and well-being through various interventions and a panel discussion. Delphine Allès, provisional administrator of Inalco, emphasized the importance of youth well-being, influenced by study conditions, living situations, and future prospects, calling on the alliance to consider student mobilizations as both a challenge and a call for reflection.
Rima Sleiman, Inalco's Vice-President for Research, highlighted multilingualism, research programs, and researcher support, proposing a sustainable European research strategy. Andreas Guidi, lecturer at Inalco and EUniWell Champion, advocated for the contribution of area studies and modern history, as well as for greater visibility of humanities in EUniWell's agenda.
Julie A. Panagiotopoulou (University of Cologne) and Theodoros Marinis (University of Konstanz) presented the initial results of the LIME project, which maps linguistic uses to establish a common language policy. The session concluded with a discussion among Delphine Allès, Rosa M. Crujeiras Casais (University of Santiago de Compostela), Rafal Krenke (Medical University of Warsaw), Gaida Lefeuvre Mendoza, and the EUniWell Student Board on how to better support student initiatives.
