The cardiology department at the Nouveau Lariboisière has been modernized, offering adjacent units and improved hospitalization conditions for enhanced patient care.

The Nouveau Lariboisière marks a major step in the transformation of Lariboisière Hospital with the relocation of its cardiology department. This new organization, driven by the ambition of its professionals, aims for increasingly adapted patient care through closer units, redesigned spaces, and a more comfortable environment.
After decades in historic buildings, cardiology teams now have facilities suited to their specialty's demands. Intensive care, conventional hospitalization, interventional cardiology, and rhythmology activities are now spread across adjacent floors, facilitating care coordination, patient mobility, and professional exchange. Pr Patrick Henry, head of the department, emphasizes that this evolution reflects a new hospital concept where spaces are designed to meet patient and care needs.
The new units offer improved hospitalization conditions with more spacious, brighter, and functional rooms. The intensive care unit now has 12 single rooms, and the conventional hospitalization unit has 28 beds. Rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms with showers, electric blinds, and modern nurse call systems, featuring enhanced soundproofing and large windows. Some rooms offer views of the Sacré-Cœur. Raphaele Demabre, a health manager, highlights the benefit of single rooms for preserving patient privacy and comfort.
The working environment for professionals has also been redesigned. New care stations consolidate pharmacy and necessary equipment, facilitating access. The care station can now be closed, enhancing information confidentiality and minimizing interruptions during care preparation. The proximity to the technical platform and outpatient activity is another advantage for service organization. Amrani Arezki, a nursing assistant, notes improved communication and teamwork, fostering a team spirit.
This modernization represents a significant step for Lariboisière's cardiology, providing an environment better suited to its specialty's demands. For Pr Patrick Henry, this change is "a true revolution for the health of Parisians living north of the Seine," combining quality of care, patient comfort, and better working conditions for the teams.
