Université Paris Cité is offering SMARTS-UP scholarships to fund master's students' internships and field studies abroad, with a monthly grant of €1000.

The SMARTS-UP Graduate Schools program at Université Paris Cité aims to promote the internationalization of master's programs and facilitate the integration of top students into international organizations. It also seeks to build a pool of excellence for recruiting future doctoral candidates.
For the 2026-2027 period, outgoing mobility grants of €1000 per month are available for students enrolled in Graduate Schools who wish to undertake an internship or field study abroad lasting 1 to 6 months. The program also covers travel expenses, ranging from €250 to €1000 depending on the destination.
To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a master's program (M1 or M2) at one of Université Paris Cité's Graduate Schools in 2026-2027 and complete their internship or field study abroad by August 31, 2027. Mobilities shorter than one month are not eligible. Internships in French overseas departments and territories (DROM-COM) are not funded, nor are those in areas deemed high-risk by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The mobility grant is disbursed in two installments: 80% upon arrival and the remainder at the end of the stay, upon presentation of attendance certificates. SMARTS-UP grants cannot be combined with other international mobility grants from the university.
Applications must be submitted by November 30, 2026, midnight (CET). Required documents include the application form, a summary of the mobility project, a recommendation letter from the master's program coordinator, a support letter from the host institution, and copies of the student ID, identity card, and health insurance card. Candidates will be notified by email in January 2027.
