Launched in April 2021 on the initiative of Father Arnaud Bonnassies, La Canopée aims to be an open space for young people and everyone, focused on values of encounters, ecology, and solidarity. This project, funded by donations from parishioners, a legacy, and grants, was made possible by the energy of about a hundred volunteers.
The associative cafe offers hot and cold drinks, cakes, and bagels in a friendly atmosphere, including on its rooftop terrace. A lunch formula at a reduced price is available for young people. All profits are donated to local solidarity initiatives.
Committed to short supply chains and local products, the team emphasizes zero waste and organic products, as evidenced by the "Greek yogurt with Saint-Mandé honey", sourced from local beehives.
“"La Canopée has found its place in the heart of Saint-Mandé: it is a place where we meet, where we exchange, a place imbued with conviviality and fraternity, reflecting our city. A big bravo and especially immense thanks to the volunteers who, through their commitment and generosity, keep this beautiful initiative alive."
La Canopée is located at 82, avenue du Général de Gaulle and is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 9:30 AM to 7 PM (Friday until 7 PM).
