The winning project, titled 'No Skincare', explores the limits of the building using the Tour Atlantique in La Défense as a case study. The concept is based on two complementary strategies: 'Out-In', which aims to reconnect the tower to its environment by deconstructing its single-program nature, and 'In-Out', which creates a succession of microclimates within a sheltered volume. Drawing inspiration from Paul Scheerbart's Glasarchitektur and Ettore Sottsass's experiments with microclimates, the project offers an alternative to the hermetic box and questions the paradigm of envelope rehabilitation, often seen as programmed obsolescence.
