Sponsored by Hakim Arezki, an Olympic flame carrier and 2024 Paralympic cécifoot Champion, the race featured three courses: 2.5 km (timed for the first time), 5 km, and 10 km. The event aimed to raise public awareness about disability through a handisport activity village that attracted many visitors throughout the day.
Funds raised from this edition, totaling €15,000 last year, will support the purchase of equipment for children, wheelchairs, and finance days for caregivers and awareness programs in Montreuil schools. Approximately 3000 people, including children, have already been reached.
The race is distinguished by its handi-valid approach, fostering living together and sharing. Participants praised the organization and the values of inclusion promoted by the event, calling it one of the best races in Île-de-France.
Testimonials highlighted the significance of participation, even with disabilities like multiple sclerosis, and the opportunity to discover handisport activities such as fencing and basketball. The event seeks to demonstrate that sports can be adapted for everyone.
The next edition of La Foulée Montreuilloise is scheduled for Sunday, May 10, 2026.
