One year after their election, Franconville's Youth Municipal Council and Senior Council present a first review of their term, marked by intergenerational and civic projects.

The 17 young elected members of the Youth Municipal Council (CMJ), who took office on November 14, 2025, have participated in official commemorations, including the 60th anniversary of the twinning with Viernheim, and organized intergenerational events. During their first plenary session on June 12, in the presence of Claire Le Berre, Deputy Mayor, and Rina Sattappane, Municipal Councilor delegated to the CMJ, they presented four projects voted on in the Municipal Council on October 1.
Among these projects, a donation drive for the SPA and the local association « Les pattes d’or » is organized from Wednesday, November 4 to Friday, November 27. Donations (food, toys) can be dropped off at K’fête on Wednesday and Friday afternoons, at the CCAS on Wednesday mornings, and at the Arc en Ciel leisure center on Wednesdays. Other projects include organizing intergenerational workshops at the Arpavie retirement home, creating videos and podcasts about the twinning, and preparing the 3rd Year Ball.
The CMJ, established in 2008, serves as an educational tool for civic life, fostering learning about individual and collective commitment and democracy. Rina Sattappane highlights the positive dynamic and commitment of the young elected officials, supported by Gwendoline, CMJ facilitator, and Vanessa, youth service coordinator.
The 25 members of the Senior Council, in office since November 17, 2025, are working within three commissions. The Culture, Sports, Leisure commission is preparing for Women's Rights Day, which will include the screening of the film « Sarah Bernhardt, la Divine » on Saturday, March 20, 2027. The Living Environment and Nature commission is working on the installation of public benches. The Solidarity and Health commission has implemented the Stop Isolement initiative, a monthly exchange session at the Epine-Guyon Social Center.
Bruno De Carli, Municipal Councilor for Seniors, the Senior Council, and Veterans, highlights a rich year of events, including taking office, meeting with the Mayor, and participating in ceremonies and the Forum of Associations. He emphasizes the sustainability of the Stop Isolement program and the ciné-goûter for International Women's Day. Other projects focus on a 'green city,' including the installation of public benches, and an event for Pink October during the Night Runs.
