The desire to write manifested early in Myriam, who transformed her dreams into short stories and drafted science fiction novels. It was her volunteer work at Fondament’All in Champigny and her stays in Benin that catalyzed the writing of an autobiography. Initially a logbook to preserve traces of her experiences, the project took on a new dimension thanks to Didier BOKO's proposal to turn it into a book.
Transforming her experiences into a coherent narrative proved to be demanding work. Lacking literary foundations, Myriam benefited from the guidance of a writing coach. This support enabled her to acquire skills in style, tense management, and narrative construction, requiring numerous revisions, modifications, and openness to external feedback.
The primary objective of this work is to convey a message to children in school support programs. Faced with shyness and self-doubt, Myriam wants them to realize that they too can succeed and overcome their limitations, a lesson she has experienced herself and which has been validated by positive feedback from young readers.
The publication of her first book was a significant moment for Myriam, marking the realization of a project whose legitimacy she had doubted. The glowing reviews boosted her confidence, and her mother was particularly impressed by her achievement.
This experience taught her the importance of perspective and accepting imperfection, a process already initiated at Fondament’All. Myriam now aims to convey the message that one should not be afraid to dare, despite unequal starting points, highlighting the power of a simple gesture of trust.
