Since March 2026, groups of children from the Village de la Petite Enfance (VPE) in Villiers-sur-Marne have been participating in playful workshops at the Micro-Folie, as part of the municipal artistic and cultural education (EAC) initiative.

These initiatives aim to introduce young children to cultural spaces and stimulate their imagination. The project, born from a collaboration between Valérie Morlot, head of the Relais Petite Enfance, and Aurore Vigneron, cultural mediator at the Micro-Folie, allows children to express themselves through creation.
'The Micro-Folie is perfectly suited for this type of mediation! Here, visitors are not just observers but can also engage in creation,' explains Aurore. The half-hour workshops allow children to discover adapted exhibitions, such as those by Mathilde Planchon or Sandre et Tom Audebert, and to try techniques like watercolor painting.
Valérie Morlot emphasizes that 'young children are very focused on emotions and are sensitive to their surroundings. Generally, they let go quite easily and can instinctively give free rein to their creativity.' These activities, associated with a sense of freedom and well-being, also have recognized therapeutic benefits.
These art workshops, highly appreciated by children, supervisors, and parents, reinforce the municipal strategy for artistic and cultural education, proving the value of introducing children to art from a very young age.
