For the 2026 National Architecture Days, Groupe ADP invites visitors to explore the Belvédère at Paris-Orly, a 3,500 m² space dedicated to sustainable airport construction.

As part of the 2026 National Architecture Days, themed « Rehabilitate: Building the Future », the Engineering & Capital Projects (ECP) teams from Groupe ADP are exceptionally opening the doors of the Belvédère at Paris-Orly. This 3,500 m² space serves as a demonstrator for sustainable construction, presenting concrete solutions for future airport infrastructure.
The structure, made entirely of wood, is lightweight and suitable for construction on existing sites, aiming for a negative carbon footprint for its structural component. It incorporates sustainable and innovative materials such as wood, plant-based fiber insulation, recycled and recyclable materials, and geosourced cladding, thereby experimenting with new construction methods to reduce environmental impact.
The project also emphasizes vegetation and biodiversity, featuring green roof spaces and landscaping designed to enhance the infrastructure's integration into its environment. Bifacial photovoltaic canopies generate decarbonized energy while contributing to the thermal comfort of the area.
The former terraces of Orly's Hall 4, once appreciated for their exceptional views of the runways and the Eiffel Tower, are now being given a new life through this rehabilitation that dialogues with heritage, contemporary architecture, and environmental challenges.
This visit offers a behind-the-scenes look at an extraordinary project, allowing visitors to see the implemented solutions firsthand and interact with the design teams. It provides a concrete glimpse into how we can rehabilitate today to build the future.
The registration deadline is Friday, October 9, 2026, at 12:00 PM. Visits are limited to a maximum of 20 people per session. Registration is mandatory at: inscriptions-visites@adp.fr. A valid ID is required for registration and must be presented on the day of the visit.
