The project to extend Metro Line 1, currently running between La Défense and Château de Vincennes, aims to continue the line eastward to Val-de-Fontenay. This approximately 5 km extension includes the creation of three new stations: Les Rigollots (Fontenay-sous-Bois/Vincennes), Grands Pêchers (Montreuil), and Val de Fontenay (Fontenay-sous-Bois). The latter will offer connections with RER lines A and E, the future Grand Paris Express Line 15, tramway T1, and the Bus Bords de Marne.
Following the resumption of studies and the decision by the National Commission for Public Debate (CNDP), a new phase of public dialogue is being organized in 2026. The prior consultation will run from October 5 to December 11, 2026, guaranteed by the CNDP and organized by the project owners, Île-de-France Mobilités and RATP.
This process will allow the public to learn about the project, its developments, and its challenges, as well as to share observations and proposals. Several participation methods are planned, including public meetings, thematic workshops, and local encounters.
The consultation dossier, detailing project evolutions since 2022, territorial diagnosis, studied variants, environmental impacts, cost, and timeline, has been available online since September 24, 2026, along with its summary.
