The Town of Le Plessis-Trévise is launching an ambitious action plan to improve the cleanliness of its public spaces and combat incivilities.

In response to nuisances such as illegal dumping and abandoned dog waste, the municipality of Le Plessis-Trévise has presented a new action plan aimed at enhancing urban cleanliness. This initiative focuses on several key areas: improving daily maintenance, strengthening municipal teams, and more effectively combating irresponsible behavior.
Concrete measures include enhanced surveillance via video protection to deter illegal dumping. The legal framework is being strengthened with two new administrative measures to penalize offenders. The town has also reactivated its street sweepers and acquired two new street vacuum cleaners for more efficient sidewalk cleaning.
The deployment of multi-stream bins (non-recyclables, packaging, glass) will begin in the Parc de Burladingen by the end of 2026. Food waste collection shelters will be installed in partnership with GPSEA, complementing home composting. Bins specifically for cigarette butt collection and recycling will also be introduced.
Cleaning rounds will be intensified in the most problematic areas, and defective equipment, such as playgrounds, will be repaired. An awareness campaign will target co-ownerships regarding waste bin placement and remind residents of public space rules under the slogan « CLEANLINESS IS EVERYONE'S BUSINESS, LET'S RESPECT OUR LIVING ENVIRONMENT ».
To facilitate reporting of issues by residents, a mobile application will be made available to the people of Le Plessis. These actions are part of the management of the commune's 45 km of roads and 40 hectares of green spaces, maintained by 30 municipal agents, while 15 agents from GPSEA handle waste collection.
The town handles an average of approximately 250 cases of illegal dumping per year, removed in under 24 hours, and manages 330 kg of waste per inhabitant annually.
