By prefectural decree, water usage restrictions are being implemented in Val-de-Marne to preserve resources. Mandres-les-Roses is subject to an alert level due to its location in the Réveillon watershed.

Restrictions target several daily uses. Watering of lawns, flowerbeds, and green spaces is prohibited between 8 AM and 8 PM. Vegetable gardens can only be watered between 11 AM and 6 PM. Filling private swimming pools over one cubic meter is also forbidden, except for exceptions provided by the decree.
Washing vehicles at home for private use is prohibited. Similarly, cleaning facades, roofs, sidewalks, and other waterproofed surfaces is forbidden, unless for sanitary or safety imperatives. Supplying open-circuit ornamental fountains is prohibited when technically possible.
Everyone is invited to strictly limit non-essential water consumption while maintaining necessary uses for sanitary requirements, especially during heatwaves.
These measures are applicable from the publication of the decree and, unless the situation evolves, will remain in effect until December 31, 2026. Non-compliance with these prescriptions may lead to administrative or criminal sanctions, including a fine for 5th-class contraventions.
