Since late September, the South-Essonne Hospital Center (CHSE) in Étampes has launched a new geriatric day hospital (HDJ), welcoming patients on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 am to 4 pm.

Four specific care pathways have been established to meet the needs of elderly patients: the Memory pathway for cognitive and behavioral issues, the Falls pathway to identify causes and implement adapted measures, the Malnutrition pathway for weight loss management, and the Caregivers pathway to prevent caregiver burnout and provide support.
Each assessment conducted at the day hospital results in a detailed summary with follow-up and orientation recommendations for patients.
To access these services, a motivated request must be sent by email to sec.hdjgeriaE@ch-sudessonne.fr. It is advisable to include relevant clinical information, current treatments, and any completed examinations.
