As the National Commission for Public Debate (CNDP) concludes its consultation on Thermo-sur-Seine on October 29, the City of Vitry-sur-Seine maintains its own citizen-led process, including hearings and a vote on December 6.

The meeting titled "Crossed Views on the Consultation," held as part of the prior consultation on Thermo-sur-Seine, will take place on Thursday, October 29, at the town hall. It aims to review the discussions held since September 1, under the auspices of the National Commission for Public Debate (CNDP), an independent authority ensuring public information and participation. This official consultation will end on November 1, after which the CNDP will publish a report and recommendations.
In parallel, the City of Vitry-sur-Seine is continuing its own initiative, launched in July with public meetings and citizen workshops. The municipal schedule includes hearings with collectives on November 10, with Dalkia (industrial expertise) on November 16, and with SEMOP (the project's official company) on November 19. On November 26, the recommendations of the independent scientific committee will be presented.
The highlight of this municipal process will be the citizen vote on December 6, allowing residents aged 16 and over to express their opinion, thereby informing the municipality's position. The mayor, Pierre Bell Lloch, will convey the voice of Vitry's residents to the project developers, the City of Paris, and the prefect of the Val-de-Marne, the competent authority for environmental authorization.
On May 20, the municipal council had already expressed its opposition to the project as it stands, demanding guarantees regarding health, the environment, and local consequences.
