The town hall of Viroflay is alerting its residents to the risks of scams during the distribution of firefighter calendars, a period prone to fraudulent solicitations.

In response to numerous reported scams, the town of Viroflay, through its Viroflay Vigilant initiative, reminds citizens of the precautions to take. A dedicated number, 01 84 73 04 71, has been established to allow citizens to verify the identity of agents who present themselves at their homes.
It is recalled that firefighter agents systematically wear their regulation uniform and must be able to present their professional ID card upon request. For security reasons, they never ask to enter homes.
Financial participation for calendar purchases is entirely voluntary and left to each individual's discretion, without any obligation or minimum amount imposed. An official receipt is systematically offered to donors upon request.
