Young voters in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois experienced the complete electoral process, from casting their ballot to depositing it in the urn, during the Children's Municipal Council elections held on Tuesday, October 6th. This event aimed to provide children with a concrete understanding of democratic functioning and involve them in their community's life.
In total, 510 voters participated in this election, with 93 candidates running. Following the count, 21 new child municipal councilors were elected. They will join the 22 other CM2 elected officials already on the Council.
Together, these young councilors will represent their peers and propose ideas and projects to enhance the lives of children in the city. Organizers congratulate all candidates for their participation and extend their best wishes to the newly elected officials.
