Tenants wishing to stand as candidates must be supported by an association working in the housing sector. Each list must be gender-balanced and contain 12 names. Lists must be submitted to the Paris Habitat headquarters before September 29.
Candidate lists are available online via the provided link. From September 2026, further information will be accessible in your building's lobby, from your caretaker, and on the Paris Habitat website. During the election campaign, the website will explain the election process and voting procedures.
Voting is secret and can be done online or by mail, according to the tenant's preference. To be eligible, you must be a tenant or sub-tenant and have occupied your dwelling for at least 6 weeks before the election date.
Your vote is important as it elects 6 tenant representatives for a 4-year term. These representatives will participate in decisions of the Paris Habitat board of directors, particularly on matters concerning the organization's operations and life within the residences.
Eligible associations for presenting candidates must be affiliated with a national organization seated on the National Consultation Commission, the National Housing Council, or the National Consumer Council (cf. article L421-9 of the CCH). The electoral protocol is also available for consultation.
