A new offering awaits visitors at the Museum of Barbizon Painters this autumn: "The Perched Cat Storytelling Visits". Guided by storyteller Laure Urgin, young and old are invited to follow Delphine and Marinette on a whimsical exploration of the collections.
Through the galleries, artworks come alive with the magic of stories. Animals talk, the cat makes it rain, a philosophical ox and a peacock devise an intensive training program for a pig. These tales, filled with mischief and poetry, transform paintings of forests, countryside, and farm animals into vibrant scenes.
Visitors will rediscover the tender and mischievous universe of Marcel Aymé, where animals, often more sensible than humans, have their say. A surprising journey to re-examine the artworks and their hidden meanings.
These visits are offered on Sundays, October 18, November 22, and December 6, at 10:30 AM. They are suitable for children aged 4 or 5 and up and last 1 hour. Ticket prices are €5 for children and €5 plus the entrance fee for adults. Reservations are recommended at 01 60 66 22 27.
