The SyAGE will be present on October 3rd and 4th in Varennes-Jarcy for the Sustainable Development Week. Visitors can explore the river in virtual reality at the syndicate's stand and join family walks along the Yerres river with the Head of River Maintenance. The program also includes an exhibition, a film screening, a local market, workshops, and an educational farm. Hours are from 10 AM to 5 PM, on the church lawn.
The SyAGE also held a stand for the first time at the Congress of Mayors and Presidents of EPCI in Seine-et-Marne on Friday, September 25th, in Dammarie-les-Lys. This participation, under the auspices of Guy Geoffroy, allowed Romain Colas and the SyAGE teams to strengthen ties with local stakeholders and promote their expertise in water resource preservation. Virtual reality offered visitors an immersive experience of renaturation projects and flood events in the Yerres watershed.
Furthermore, the SyAGE is modernizing the 'Ford' valve, a crucial structure between Montgeron and Vigneux-sur-Seine to prevent floods. This essential equipment for the operation of the Oly stream and the protection of the sanitation network will be replaced by a single, more reliable, and watertight valve. Four other structures will be rehabilitated to better control flows, limit water entry into the Fosse Montalbot, and reduce pollution risks in the Yerres. These works, costing €490,000, are expected to take two and a half months.
