In the Yvelines, new water usage restriction measures will take effect on Saturday, October 10th. The prefect is maintaining a reinforced alert for the Seine zone and an alert for the Central and Western zones.

Following the latest flow and piezometric measurements, the prefect of Yvelines has adapted water usage restriction measures through an order dated October 9th, 2026. These new provisions come into effect from Saturday, October 10th.
A slight increase in river flows in the South-East zone has allowed for the lifting of the alert status in that area. However, the absence of significant rainfall expected in the next two weeks means restrictions cannot be lifted in other parts of the department.
Consequently, the prefect is maintaining a REINFORCED ALERT status for the Seine zone, and an ALERT status for the Central and Western zones. The remaining three zones of the department are placed on vigilance.
Furthermore, the prefect confirms the continuation of derogations, under specific conditions, for sprinkler irrigation for various agricultural crops. This includes market gardening, vegetable crops (including potatoes), arboriculture, aromatic and medicinal plants, and soilless cultivation (horticulture, nurseries). The list of affected agricultural holdings is published on the website of the State services in the Yvelines.
