As part of the redevelopment of Boulevard Henri Barbusse, the Town of Saint-Cyr-l’École aims to promote active mobility, bring pedestrian pathways up to PMR standards, and secure road crossings, in consultation with residents.
Following an initial project presentation in July 2025 and the incorporation of feedback, participatory workshops were organized. These brought together residents, shopkeepers, and local stakeholders to co-construct the project. On September 15, 2026, three development scenarios resulting from their work were presented to residents.
From October 12 to 16, 2026, residents of the Épi d’Or neighborhood were invited to vote at the town hall, upon presentation of proof of residence, for their preferred development scenario. A total of 198 residents participated in this consultation. The vote count was carried out on October 20 at the Hôtel de Ville by the General Directorate.
The voting results are as follows: the 'Piste cyclable au Nord' (Northern Cycle Path) scenario received 3 votes, the 'Piste cyclable au Sud' (Southern Cycle Path) scenario obtained 5 votes, while the 'Voie verte au Nord' (Northern Green Lane) scenario was chosen by 149 votes. There were also 41 blank or spoiled ballots.
