The Île-de-France Museum of Prehistory, located in Nemours, continues its cultural program in October 2026. Several events are scheduled around the exhibition "Ça en jette," focusing on waste valorization and the history of our ancestors.
On Saturday, October 3rd, Christian Duquennoi, an engineer at INRAE, will give a conference on the challenges of waste valorization. On Sundays, October 4th and 11th, guided tours of the exhibition will be offered by the museum's mediation team.
Other activities include guided tours on the evolution from hunter-gatherer societies to peasant societies (October 4th), an introduction to prehistoric fire-making (October 4th), and a discovery of the archaeologist's profession through an excavation module (October 11th, 20th, 22nd, and 29th). A puppet show "Niébé and his companions" is also scheduled for October 21st and 28th.
A special tour of the museum, recognized as a Historic Monument and a work by architect Roland Simounet, will be guided by Hugo on October 17th. Finally, an immersion into the hunting and fire-making techniques of our ancestors is offered from October 19th to 30th.
